So here are the reasonable possibilities I've seen for the Mystery Civs: B5: -Ghana -Great Zimbabwe -Goths -Georgia(!!!) C5: -Mongolia -Persia -Ottomans -Lakota -Myanmar Missing any? (Note that the operative word was reasonable.)

Well, Catherine the Great was originally German and not Russian... If I had to choose a Catherine I'd go with Caterina Sforza or Italy in an expansion, but this one is pretty good too.
