    There's a promotion parameter called GreatGeneralCombatModifier in Civ5UnitPromotions.xml. I need a techy to dive into the source code and see if it's legit and operational or if it's just another dead pseudo-parameter that doesn't work. It doesn't seem to do anything for me.

    Keeping dummy buildings hidden

    You can hide any building or unit simply by creating an off-grid technology, lock the technology, and then place whatever you want in that technology. It's nice because you can give specific technologies to specific civilizations to unlock whatever might be in that technology.
