I will play Civ4 with my friends and enjoy Baba Yetu, again.

From my experience with the game (~150hrs), some AI leader archetypes (hero, etc) has the bad habits to be taken in many wars at the same time, thus leading to some timid looking behavior sometime. It seems particularly true at The Great difficulty due to its high warlike attitude (+50%).

Same for me. With the scale fix it seems SJ is showing Firaxis the right way to implement 1upt in a civ game.

Could it be the infamous W10 memory standby list issue here again? I know it can cause stutter/lag and even crash on some recent engine, and is solvable through little app auto cleaning it. I use this one, may worth a try maybe if you have time to spare.

Thanks for the highlights, I was fearing some kind of heartstone card game inside the game but actually it seems perfectly fine and interesting. The little rng added here will contribute to refresh the good old tech tree concept. Some recent games have also done it with quite success.

Honestly, when you have archers able to launch arrows at more than hundreds km, or when you are not allowed to stack two little regiments in a tile modelising an area of hundreds km2, the immersion you know... I think it is the last thing cared about in the last 1upt Civs honestly.

SoD is linked to Mupt game approach, which emphasis strategy over tactic. The 180 curve made with Civ5 completely changed this, and alienated the serie. And we have all seen the damages to the whole game structure now : AI, scaling, logistics, etc etc.. For what gain? A tactical layer that is...
