    The change should be to revert back to civ4 systems. Economic and sci penalties instead of happiness.

    That doesn't solve it. that removes it from the game. If you cant get iron I suppose u're gonna have to change ur game plan from aggressive warlord to defensive warlord for a while. ur go for a different type victory :)

    AI builds cities 2 tiles apart. always. check it out. ICS to the bone. I posted on this on the firaxis forum; just that it's grotesque design. All tiles are good for a city if u can keep up happiness, but expanding existing cities is both less economical and much slower than building settlers...

    Why is Civ5 so unappealing?

    CIV5 is disappointing because its design shows lack of intelligence and forethought. No 2 game subsystems interconnect properly with a 3rd, and all you have is a broken cruddy mess that cannot be balanced. In a word, inelegant.
