    Intel to Apple Silicon

Update: Civ VI is up and running but the pointer was misaligned. Sorted it out - the game wasn’t rendering at the same resolution as my telly (yes I know I should probably get something better for this machine). Here we go! Leaving this thread up in case it helps someone else.

    Intel to Apple Silicon

So, I replaced my i7 MBP with the new M4P Mac Mini; I understand Civ VI is one of the games that’s been updated to natively support Apple Silicon, so I’ve been excited about that. My intent was to start afresh, bring over my old photo and music libraries and my portfolio, got some bad advice...

New update: monthly events now available across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox! + Expansion Access Issue Now Resolved for PS/Xbox players

They've made it work on Mac, too, but I don't know why they bothered. The first one was 'you are the Vikings, you like in Antarctica, and the sea is made of boiling acid'. This week's one is 'you are Babylon, and your ability does the same on civics as well, but the penalty is like 95%, but it's...

    Most important technology? (Renaissance Era)

First time voting for two. Lib for the trade bait and free tech, Rifling for self-explanatory reasons

    Most important technology? (Medieval Era)

Civil Service, the raw commercial power of bureaucracy with an academy and faster production of a handy wonder or two does as much for the lib race as phil does whilst also bringing farm chains and S8 city raiders

    Most important technology? (Classical Era)

I was hovering on construction as catapults and elephantry are favourites of mine but it's got to be currency

    Most important technology? (Ancient Era)

BW, no question, it's all contextual but the only context in which it isn't the most important by far is when you're on barren archipelagos.

    Encampments and hills.

I've tried googling this to no avail - is there a benefit to siting on a hilltop? I'm aware it can mean the difference in whether or not a garrisoned unit can shoot over hills and forests but I'm not clear if there's any benefit for the district itself.
