I couldn't be more confused about how to do this. I understand how to get to the screen and all, I understand the concept matching country with period.
BUT IT DOES NOT WORK for me. I tried putting three Moroccan artifacts (all same period and country) together and get no bonus. I don't...
Thanks for all the info! I tried the quick question threads but man they are over 270 pages of random thoughts, it's a mess.
On the food to city strategy I have a question. If I have four cities, do you send three caravans of food to your capital once from each of the others until...
also, my only option is to send food to my other city. IF I send food to my other city (in this case 4 food) is that 4 less food in for the city the caravan is coming from?
Why am I only able to send a caravan to one of four city states that I have a path to on land? I don't understand why the others aren't showing up on my list to establish a trade route.
Am I missing something?
Good question, I also wonder how much of the road you pay for that leads to a CS who made a road request. I would think you pay for the road that is in your land, but the road that is in the CS territory, what about that?
One more thing:
"Beeline Internet, swing back to Radar. Build NVC (doubles tourism)"
I've looked up wonders and buildings but can't find what you mean by NVC, what is that? And is GMu Great Musician unit?
Also should I hang onto great musicians until the following is true, or use them...
Great info so far, much appreciated!
One question, what does this mean:
"Great musicians are perfectly fine for producing early for theming bonuses "
I don't understand "theming bonus"
I still don't understand how this works. Moreso the tourism aspect of it and how you influence other cultures. It seems a great musician doesn't really generate that much influence when used in another civs territory, so is it better to make a great work of music?
This is my first go at...
I find my wide games are more of a battle of unhappiness than the rival civs
I am learning a lot of ideas from this thread, but a slider would be nice to lessen some of the blows from taking new cities or just having more population.
I really liked the way things went in civ 4...
I have moved up to king now but have a question on how I should set my city focus ... I always use default unless I need some cash or international games come around. I assume this allocates my specialists too. I do fine and still manage to win, but I think this could be holding me back from...
Doesn't taking over CS by force give you major war mongering penalties?
I did this with Mongolia and EVERYONE stared denouncing and talking ish to me the rest of the game ... which was over 250 turns left. They never
let it go.
Question . . . when going to war are you penalized if you have any of the following in place and active when you declare war on the civ in question?
DoF (currently friends)
Trading items (silk, copper, etc...)
open borders
research agreement (likely wouldn't declare while this is in...
I am playing king with 10 civs and have three capitals so far to my pelt ... question though. Germany lost their capital to zulu, do I have to take Berlin from zulu or the new capital Frankfurt that Germany has?
