You see normally I normally play races with science bonuses and make an early beeline for research labs, planetary supercomputers and selected food/industry techs depending on the nearby planets i colonise.
Trying a similar tactic with a -ve science penalty is obviously pointless, but in my...
If I go through DOSBox it asks me to run the install program, which is a bollocks since I don't have the discs it wants, if i click the program itself it just tells me I need 1024KB of extended memory, even after I set EMS to 1024.
OK, now i'm having trouble getting MoO1 to run in vista. I set the expanded memory to 1024 as usually works (in XP, anyway) and it still throws up the error
With each other and with a standard racial +20 bonus?
Or can you only have one?
I guess a race that has a natural +60 ground attack without equipment would be a bit narsty
Cheers mate ;)
I had pasted dplay.dll into the main orion2 directory. Once I pasted it into the system32 folder it worked first time.
I'd never have thought of that.
Thanks a lot :D
It installed normally, then it installed DirectX 2.0, then when I tried to open the game it claimed it couldn't find DPlay.dll (which I think is one of the directX files).
Any hints as to how I fix this?
This is a wierd one. The only problem i've ever had using the "silly numbers of missile bases in lieu of ships" defence is when an enemy has ships equipped with sub space teleporter or inertial nullifier AND technology nullifier. I tend to lose quite a lot of bases once they get close and...
Normally I zoom out two levels when I play, it just looks better to me that way. When I restart a save game it retains the zoom level I saved it at.
But when I load a saved game from a scenario (even if I saved the scenario at a certain zoom level) it resets it to default. Is there any way...
I'm trying to make a Britain scenario with the English, Welsh, Scottish, Irish and Cornish with their team colours co-ordinated with the flags. Obviously it's fine for the english, scots and irish (white/blue/green respectively) but I was wondering if it's possible to change the colour of the...
Any game where the rules make you give the ball back after you get tackled is a bit silly.
Yeah you can say american football players get hit harder, but then they get to sit down for a minute while everyone else fannies about and the next play gets sorted. In rugby (union, rugby league is...
for some reason i have a similar problem since i reinstalled it
occasionally it will completely freeze when i hit the next turn button.
The only way to fix it is ctrl+alt+del and then restart it
on MoO2, Aquatic races treat terran and ocean worlds as Gaia environments...
and Tolerant races treat all planet types as Terran...
So if you have both, does that mean your race automatically treat every planet as a gaia?
