Beyond earth the worst civ game ever - nothing happens

I've done neither of these things in any of the 15 apollo games I've played and it's still too easy. So not sure where that comment is coming from.

    Leader Elimination Thread

Daoming Sochua (Pan-Asian Cooperative) - 22 Hutama (Polystralia) - 14 I hate waiting for improvements to be built and the faster workers help greatly for mass building terrascapes. As for Hutama: trade routes are bound to be nerfed.

Which Sponsor is the biggest warmonger?

    Me. Whatever I'm playing ;-)

Have you stopped playing until patched?

I've played 12 campaigns and will probably slow down a bit but still enjoying the game. I've also been toying with some mods in short games that I didn't count in the above number.

Beyond earth the worst civ game ever - nothing happens

Alright, I'm on my 12th game and I'm finally at a point where the forces I face are enough to require constant pressure to advance. The continent is a thin crescent so all warfare is done in a column and I don't have boats yet so it's been rather interesting warfare. I took out ARC in the...

How good are you without trade?

Probably terrible. ;-) I am enjoying the Beyond Balance mod which limits trade routes to one.

Which Sponsor is the biggest warmonger?

In most of my games the Slavs declare war the most readily but PAC end up controlling the other half of the continent by the time I get there. A war between two warmongers is always fun.

How fast you place new city?

I've noticed the same issue. The first game I played the auto-manager started building terrascapes everywhere until my net income was negative. I've since switched to manually managing cities/production. Although in my last game I tried only building farms and biowells (unless the tile had a...

Beyond earth the worst civ game ever - nothing happens

In my defense I initially joined just to vote for my favorite Civ 5 war theme  I'll let this thread get back on topic now.

Beyond earth the worst civ game ever - nothing happens

Or perhaps it's because I purchased Civ 5 only recently and have never played vanilla (unmodded). I retract my Settler comment but maintain that the game is too easy and I agree that it is easily addressed. So apparently I'm an ignorant troll ;-) Always a good start when joining a forum.

Let's hope that's my experience soon.

Beyond earth the worst civ game ever - nothing happens

I said I wasn't exaggerating because I wasn't exaggerating. The game is fun and will get better with patches but at the moment city spamming + trade routes + prosperity is simply broken (although steamrolling the AI with an advanced army is gratifying). The responses I've received in this thread...

Beyond earth the worst civ game ever - nothing happens

Yes. Have you played Beyond Earth? ;) The aliens and combat might be easier in Civ V (Settler) but spamming cities and managing health(happiness)/culture/science/gold is easier in Civ BE (Apollo).

Beyond earth the worst civ game ever - nothing happens

I don't play smart (it's not necessary) and I've been attacked before but I can easily go from little to no army to a force which can turn the tides within 5-10 turns... Apollo is not easy compared to Emperor difficulty: it's easy compared to Settler. That is not an exaggeration. If anyone is...

    War Theme Elimination Thread

Arabia - 11+1=12 Brazil - 9 England - 14 Indonesia - 8-3=5 Sweden - 11 Arabia: The theme is ominous throughout, while England's starts strong but starts to decline. Indonesia: This one doesn't feel remotely threatening to me.
