    All you really need are 2 subs and a cutter. The AI has no idea how to deal with naval units, let alone stealth naval ones. I crushed Apollo domination with just a handful of subs.

    This is what I generally do too, with priority on Trade Depot and Trade Vessels/Convoys. When you inevitably run out of space, buy military units to "borrow" some of your neighbor's land.

    Alien Hives, how do they work?

    If you have a nest in your territory, how do you go about getting the Xenomass resource under it? I have 2 in my current game within my capital's borders and I have the Xenowell unlocked but I don't seem to be getting the resources from the nests.
