Yeah the normal units with 0 XP are kinda useless but still useful as meatshield. But the unique ones are still good even at 0 XP.

Yeah the biggest change was that they can move/pillage after captured. Before they cant move so the chance you can keep them alive is quite small. Now its much easier to keep them alive, so I think we should lower the chance as well. Its already so powerful because you can capture unique units...

Problem with horsemen is they have very little support in Ancient/classic era. To be really able to deal dmg effectively, the melee horses need road movement. The only viable early horses is Shonghai horses.

Yeah its true that with statecraft its better to use diplo units but have both diplo units AND missionaries will make it even more powerful. Also missionaries dont require paper so you can spam as many of them as you like. Also the tourism will be useful too.
