After a few years hiatus, Im back~
And Im making commentary now~~~
This time we will play with Boudicca, one of the most interesting and flexible civs in the game.
Map: Continents
Size: Standard - 8 civs - 16 city states
Options: No ruins, No events, No tech trade, brokering, No research agreement.
We have a few different starting locations, which one should I choose?

Hey!

Can you give us starting save?

I vote for 1, definitely the hardest and hopefully the most interesting. I would actually go south with the settler, settle on tobacco probably or just NW of it. Have fun!

Here's the first part of the campaign:
I decided to go with the 2nd start because its the most powerful one. I havent played VPP for a while (2 years), so I will use the strong start to get back into the game.
Decided to go with Rhiannon and Progress for a very strong early start so I could forward settled my neighbours and grab a few early wonders.
It seems like we are having a pretty good start. And I was able to found my religion on turn 84.
Unfortunately, Divine Inheritance already gone. Which beliefs should we take now?

Divine Inheritance? I think it's weak even for tradition. You don't have any GA sources (+8 from tiles is nothing), and I think going Artistry would be a huge mistake.
Theocratic Rule really require both Fealty and Industry commitment to work well to be honest (and I'm not sure Fealty is very good for the Celts), Rhiannon is nice for it. Furthermore, lots of your culture is from progress instant building, +% culture scaler isn't very good IMO even with musician specialist.
Celts not warmongering have low faith, so I suggest Apostolic (to get a lot of pop to work all the strong tiles and specialists in your capital and grab wonders) or Holy Law, and Statecraft.

Council of Elders is strong with high faith pantheon or resource and when you know you have civs who will not found aroound. I'm not convinced here.

If you want to stay mostly peaceful with Felty/Statecraft and Industry/Rationalism, I suggest Synagogues. I guess you can go +1 science for followers as next follower, none of the other buildings seem really useful here, orders included IMO.

You play very efficiently, I suggest Milae Map and Alternative Difficulty Mod for you to check out. AIs have more room, much more units, and they grab wonders and settle cities much faster.

Episode 2 is here :D.
I decide to go for Way of the Noble Truth because it seems really good. Tourism and influence with city states by spreading can be quite powerful.
And I actually havent tried that belief before so its good to try it out.
We started the war with the Iroquois as well and we are well prepared so they wont be able to do much.
Hopefully we can take a city or two and I will try to make him our vassal.
We are about to pick the second Policy tree. Im thinking about picking the Fealty Opener then go for Statecraft.
Fealty is not very good for the Celt, we just need the Opener for the discount when purchasing Missionaries. Statecraft will be nice.
What you guys think about it?

I think way of noble truths is rather ineffective with statecraft. Statecraft give bonus to diplo units you don't use with missionaries. I prefer it with fealty and strong faith civ. Here however, statecraft with way of noble truths okay as you will only have 6 cities, which is low for progress, and limited production for diplomats.

Yeah its true that with statecraft its better to use diplo units but have both diplo units AND missionaries will make it even more powerful. Also missionaries dont require paper so you can spam as many of them as you like.
Also the tourism will be useful too.

Our 3rd episode is here:
As for the medieval policy tree, I decided to go for the Fealty opener, then Statecraft.
The war with Iroquois continues, we are gaining a lot of valuable experience for our units here.
I tried to get the Borobudur. Its a great wonder especially when we went for Way of the Noble Truth.
But we failed.
However we are still very strong, and I was able to reform my religion quite soon. Inspired works is the obvious choice here.
At turn 156, we are about to enhance the religion.
Which beliefs should I take?

I diasgree with you about mendicancy. It's the most powerful enhancer in my opinion. It's 3 or 4 times as strong as inspiration follower belief.

Synagogues I recommended before and I think it's the best in your situation.
Mastery is not enough as a golden age strategy alone, it needs artistry or hero worship or Korea to shine.

I think youre right. Mendicancy might be the best option here.

Episode 4 is here:
I decided to take synagogues and mendicancy since they are our best options here.
We continues the war with Iroquois and with careful preparation we are winning.
We made contact with other civs and they are Siam, Greek, Maya, Shoshone and the Siam is doing very well, theyre the tech leader.
We got the leaning tower, one very useful wonder, and we peace out with Iroquois to prepare for actually taking their city.
