Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution 2 announced!

Funny they mention "intuitive controls and a friendly user interface". I got CivRev for 360 when it was free, and I was constantly fighting with its awful UI when I tried to play it. The bastard doesn't even let you ZOOM IN/OUT.

    K-Mod: Far Beyond the Sword

I usually forget the option to colonize even exists in the game, because it's disabled when vassal states are disabled -- and I usually play with vassal states disabled. Why? Because they're clunky. The main reason? Spontaneous new war/peace with an enemy due to vassaling. The worst is when a...

    K-Mod: Far Beyond the Sword

Any thoughts on incorporating these features? The author didn't reply to my request for source (I also PMed), but they seem within the purview of K-Mod's scope/goals. http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=486538

    Civ sales figures revealed

"own/owned/owner" is an interesting way to typo "rent/rented/renter"

    'Civilization: Beyond Earth' announced!

Sadly, Firaxis and their publishers suck from the Valve teets and thus this won't be released except via Steam. Thus, it might just as well not exist, since it's DRMed for-rental-only.

    Dominion Online?

I, too, used to do isotropic. The goko interface is too awful for me to use it there, though.

Was the source for this available somewhere?

Feedback on the K-Mod global warming system

I ask the same. While I'm generally positive about the new GW system over the original [I'd always mod it out entirely in original], I'd like to tweak the numbers myself a bit. Are any of them XML or Py accessible?

    K-Mod with BULL

Any chance of implementing the BULL changes into K-Mod's DLL and integrating those parts of BUG that required BULL? I'm loving K-Mod, but I'm missing BUG+BULL.

Civ5 Complete + Free DLC (scenario) on the way (Feb 4th)!

Absolutely. Civ5 is locked behind the Steamworks DRM system where, not only do you have to be connected online to "activate" it and regularly online to reactivate it at various intervals, it's also tied to an account such that the company can [and does] revoke things from your 'library' for any...

    Sid Meier Humble Bundle

I'm sorry, but I feel Steam is on-topic in this thread, since this so-called Humble Bundle is simply a Steam sale front-end.

    Sid Meier Humble Bundle

Yes, but you're literally throwing your money away -- because you're "buying" something on Steam, which ladens everything with DRM. I'm sorry, but some of us still believe in the concept of owning that which we spend money on.

    Sid Meier Humble Bundle

Just another Steam sale. Nothing Humble about this.

Civ5 Complete + Free DLC (scenario) on the way (Feb 4th)!

And it still doesn't remove the DRM so it's actually a buyable (vs rentable) product.

    AI-only game

I looked around a little bit, but I haven't seen a way to set up a game that's AI-only that you can just watch. It'd be better if you can interrupt the automatic 'next turn' occasionally to investigate everything (ie, have full view of any cities/no fog of war/know all techs they have/so on)...
