There should be three types of open borders

A modifier to what though? Remember in principle such an action would change your opinion of the country who allowed the troops through, and your opinion isn't measured by any stat in the game. Remember you can declare war on the third party in such a case whenever you like.

    The UN voting

Well I have, indeed it's my preferred route of victory in OCC games, where domination certainly isn't an option (and indeed, on standard maps and larger, it's the most viable means of victory). It's no more a poor man's domination then domination is a poor mans conquest.

There should be three types of open borders

Yes. Like supplying resources and peace, it builds up over time, in general won't get better then +2 though. At this point, it is clear that you don't know that on declaration of war, all units of that side get kicked out (the same happens if you cancel Open Borders without declaring war), which...

    Upgrades cost way too much

But note that the base rush cost of a unit is also 3*remaining hammers, so in principle upgrading costs are inline with rush costs. It's only because (a)rushing benefits from production bonuses in the city, and (b)The Kremlin that rushing becomes notably cheaper then upgrading.

    Why Python?

Ah, but those semicolons and curly brackets are what avoids having to give syntactic meaning to white space ;). C is by far not the only language to use semicolons not line breaks as end of statement markers, and the advantage of not doing so is that you can then use line breaks merely to avoid...

    So...war seems to suck.

Because that is already factored in by the inherently higher strength of higher tech units. Gunpowder and later units also already ignore the defence bonus from city walls/castle, and the odds of pre gunpowder units against tanks is still at most only a couple of percent at best (assuming full...

    So...war seems to suck.

But the only "hole" in the combat calculations as you see it is that no unit ever gets a 100% chance of success against another. In open combat, the chance of a pre gunpowder era unit beating a tank is very small, but nonetheless non-zero, and it's not up to the game to describe what particular...

    So...war seems to suck.

You don't have to do the number crunching. The game does it for you. just right drag over your intended victim, and look at the percentage chance of victory given in the bottom left before committing to battle. It does also give the full break down of what bonuses you and your opponent have, but...

what does mean singing together the KUMBAYA?

Heh, well your re-edit does at least refrain from referring to your version as "closer to the original". I suspect that the first set of lyrics there are the pp&m version. It does seem a bit of a gap that pp&m aren't mentioned anyway. The real trick would be to confirm this so that it could be...

what does mean singing together the KUMBAYA?

Perhaps you could read the comment made by the person who reverted your revision? (Check the history page for the article). To whit: " reference is need please, saying "I believe this is true" in a Wikipedia article is not NPOV". Indeed, simply saying "I" is pretty much sufficient to get you...

    WANTED: more interesting terraforming

I wouldn't like to see SMAC style "terraforming". The only terraforming in Civ IV is the chop, and the hammer bonus from this would make it dangerous to include the reverse of planting. Everything else you talk about are tile improvements, which while they may be seen as a proxy for terraforming...

    Who dislikes bombardment?

Hmmn, suppose so. It's just that the earliest round of wars is generally unsupported by cats at all. Perhaps I just like the simplicity of the very original CIV's 3 levels of arty ;). Although when you write it like that, I only see at most a justification for trebuchets, it makes entirely good...

    Who dislikes bombardment?

Cannon's were available historically before muskets, they were the first serious application of gunpowder in warfare. Thus I find it somewhat silly that they aren't available in game until strictly after muskets. On the current tech tree, they should essentially be available with gunpowder...

    The Vassal State

Er, nothing? Since there's no direct connection between "vassalage" as a way of running your country and being able to make another country your "vassal state".

CivIV: Warlords - New Leaders shown here!

He will if there's a WWII scenario, which it looks vaguely suspicious that there might be, what with two of the major belligerents gaining their WWII era leaders, despite those two Civs already having 2 leaders in vanilla CivIV, and the US of course already has theirs. Personally, I'm not quite...
