Does anyone know if its possible to mod in a naming system for units? And if it is possible, will the unit name be unique or once the unit is destroyed can the name be used again? Ex: The American Civ creates an infantry unit and instead of being named "Infantry" it is named "1st Infantry...

I bought an additional 1GB of memory so now I have 2GB total. I'm in the midst of playing a saved game that kept crashing on me. So far so good. I'm trying my best to make it crash now to see if the extra RAM helps.

I did a complete reinstall patching 1.0 to 1.52. Didn't make a difference same problem. I also tried reducing video settings, and turning on MemSaver in the INI file. Same problem. I think I'm screwed until this is addressed in a new patch.

I clear the cache before every game. It doesn't make a difference.

All I asked for was my current version of Civ4 to work. Maybe by the time the Expansion pack is out I'll be able to play.

I really wished I waited till it hit the bargin bin to buy it. Now I have a $50 game that doesn't work. And YES I have tried EVERYTHING in the forums to get it to work to no avail.
