Sorry, if this is semi-necroing this thread, but what would be the best guess for when 1.17 including the new map could be playable.
I am asking because I made the decision to wait until it was. In retrospective, not my best one :-)
I would be happy to give a contribution using whatever mechanism is proposed.
I could worry that setting up a milestone plan via patron could take focus away from doing the work (over to "telling about the work"), but I am sure that can be managed :-)
With the good work that Leoreth has put into the late areas, it seems a shame that there isn't any civilization that has the Mars colony as a goal.
I get the obvious counterpoint, that this is future speculation as opposed to actual history, but then again since the techs and wonders are...
Tried a game as Russia. Was going well, but at current turn 460, I keep getting a CTD (crash to desktop) every time I end turn.
Using current GIT-version (or so I believe, updated yesterday). Have enabled pythons and such.
Not sure what the problem is, but thought I would share.
Fair enough - maybe I was just being too polite.
As a suggestion for a new UHV, I would delete the friendly relations part and move the settlement of great peeps forward to 1650, perhaps renaming the goal Kaiserstadt or the Imperial city.
In general, for gameplay reasons, I am somewhat against...
I am a little bit stuck with how to reach the second part of 3rd goal of the Habsburg empire on having friendly relations with 6 independent European powers.
Basically, to achieve the 2nd goal (3 Catholic vassals in Europe), and this means that are only 4 independent European powers left. When...
I believe many discussions here are in the intersection between historical accuracy and gameplay.
In regards to the historical aspect, I would argue that the modern concept of a capital with administrative offices etc first appears in the late 1600s. Prior to that it would be more precise to...
Sorry to repeat my question: but is the current tech research rate doable for e.g. Arabia, Russia China etc?
As I find it currently for the civs, which I tried, the UHV (on regent) is undoable for those civs which have tech-related goals. Or alternatively, am I overlooking some game mechanics here?
With the new culture growth mechanics, Vikings need the same twist as the Polynesians (i.e. no penalities for oceans) - otherwise their goal of settling America by island-jumping the ocean squares Ireland->Iceland->Newfoundland isn't feasible.
