    Historical Movies

"Stalingrad" would be my pic for fav historical/war movie I also recently watched King arthur (the recent one with Kiera Knightly - she's so dreamy) and dug the semi-real theme of the knights of the round table actually being sarmatians in the service of rome

    Luckiest Nation Ever?

New Zealand are the luckiest, low pollution, clean water, and the best herbs this side of Amsterdam. Only bummer is being so close to Oz

UU Navy Seal .... who comes up with this stuff?

I agree the SEAL is a stupid UU, they arent even the top rated special forces. Something more fitting of America's shock and awe would be better, a unique ship/aircraft

    Reigns of terror

He was the guy that started the nuclear free zone, he's pretty much a national icon

    Reigns of terror

Here in NZ we are blessed with peace and quiet, except when Rob Muldoon was prime minister in the '80's and sold all our assets, then came up with a (very expensive - we arent that rich) scheme which took years to repay and got nowhere. Did USSR receive Allied supply via Pacific?

Does anyone notice the irony in the fact that the whole thing started over poland being invaded, after it had all finished, poland was still occupied

I think the point is that a lot of civ's have been missed out, several who have had a considerable impact on history eg. Babylon

Most Significant Unit NOT in the Game

Maybe because Stealth Bombers can't actually land on carriers, they are wayyyyy to big

Most Significant Unit NOT in the Game

I always liked Civ II's Alpine troops, although with the new rules for mountain tiles I can see why they have been left out Also Civ II had crusaders once you teched monotheism, now that religion actually plays a part it seems funny that crusaders are no longer available

    Hiroshima's and Nagasaki's nukes.

Uncle Joe already knew about America's new weapon before Truman broke the news at Potsdam
