I'm with you. I bought a new computer to play this game. It looks great and runs fine until i hit the industrial age and then I spend a lot of time looking at my watch. I could play on lower settings but I find much of the diplomacy and challenge is removed if i do.

Your complaints have merit. I don't see much strength in resources any more, they are all so similar.
