Is it the lack of funds that causes the strike? I don't think I was running in a deficit to the point of bankruptcy. I swear I went from 400gp to 0gp in a couple of turns.

How do I stop my civ from striking? I am in a war but all of a sudden I lost all of my treasury and my units are being disbanded every turn. I try to stop the war so I can focus on the problem but my opponent will not accept peace. I have saved the game so I can learn how to fix this if I see...
