How do I stop my civ from striking? I am in a war but all of a sudden I lost all of my treasury and my units are being disbanded every turn. I try to stop the war so I can focus on the problem but my opponent will not accept peace. I have saved the game so I can learn how to fix this if I see it in the future. Any answers would be appreciated.

Either the AI sent a spy to steal from your treasury, or you were running in a deficit for too long. Perhaps they got another AI who you had a lot of trade agreements with to cut off ties with you. The AI will seldom back off once they know they have you beat down, so that part does not surprise me.

Is there anything you can give your enemy to accept peace? Sometimes they will make peace if you offer tech or a few cities. If you're going bankrupt and are going to lose the cities anyway it might be the best move.

If you lost all your treasury, and you're running a deficit, your combined science, culture, and espionage spending will be reduced until you are running a surplus. If combined spending is at 0, and you're still running a deficit, your troops will "strike" because you can't "pay" them. Basically that's the game reducing spending in the form of unit maintenance. It'll keep happening until you're running a surplus again.

Is it the lack of funds that causes the strike? I don't think I was running in a deficit to the point of bankruptcy. I swear I went from 400gp to 0gp in a couple of turns.

Well, if you are running a deficit at 0% spending and have no money in the treasury, yes, your units will "strike" (aka disband); however, there may be other causes of striking of which I'm unaware.

I swear I went from 400gp to 0gp in a couple of turns.

As was mentioned, that was probably a spy stealing your treasury.
