Step 1 and 2 were done.
I tried step 3..
basically for over a half hour it has been saying it is in the process of validating but 0% done.
Should I just uninstall then re-install CIV5 and/or STEAM?
What on earth is the issue?
I have to say, I really hate STEAM and it is unfortunate CIV is run through it.
I'm not an id10t, but I'm also not a programmer.
If you are going to charge people $50 for a game, you should have LIVE customer support via phone or some other useful, responsive interface.

Its a day later...and still the same ...I really hate this STEAM.
It's one thing to have problems, but at least offer REAL customer service...don't hide behind the internet.
Just tried to play for the first today, and have been getting denied each time.
After trying to update for a few minutes, I continue to receive a message saying:

I really think having the capital on the coast (if within a handful of tiles) is much better, since you can send cargo ships from there with usually the best return.
However, I've heard you are really setting yourself back if you don't settle t1.

Also, when building DEC, is the benefit national or local too?

Also, I as a under 200 hour total player, see wide as being a lot more difficult.
Extra science cost/sp cost/national wonder costs and slower productive cities.
I'd love to play wide and sprawl, is there any good guide like the science guide?
