    Making Honor Appealing

When compared to Tradition and Liberty, Honor is usually a lackluster choice. Tradition and Liberty both give you a freebies, in the way of buildings and civilian units, and have policies which provide you with flat boosts to cities. The bonuses they provide are helpful for whatever strategy you...

Opening Honor in our Brave New World

I think the Honor opener should give you a free Warrior to lessen the opportunity cost of early barb hunting.

    Archeological Natural Wonders

With the addition of Archeology, I think it would be neat if some natural wonders had to be unearthed from antiquity sites. I know civ isn't realistic, but discovering manmade wonders like El Dorado or Solomon's Mines is silly. Who built them, Aliens? It would also open opportunities for new...

Overhauling old civs (Faith, Trade Routes, GWAM) - A lot of new ideas

Some part ideas. America UA: Manifest Destiny - Settlers may seize territory in another civilization's borders, incurring diplomatic penalties. Cities get +25% ranged combat strength and +5 defense. Free settler upon researching horseback riding. Egypt UB: Slave-pit - Replaces stone works, but...

Any game is winnable they said...

But will it last? nothanks got a DoF at turn 40 but was attacked anyways. So I tried it again. This time, I was able to get around Rome's borders and meet Hiawatha. I also managed to ally both of my nearby CS, build 6 archers, and almost start my third city. I even got Rome to trade me 5 of...

    Splitting up Art and Artifacts

I propose splitting up Art and Artifacts for two reasons: 1) The normal slot building is available too late. As is, you can begin earning Artists as a tier 1 Medieval tech. However, getting slots for Art can be difficult until you get Museums at Archaeology, which is two eras later in the...

I tried it again, this time going liberty and focused primary on my military. I lasted a little longer. And yes I made walls. I just can't produce enough bows to keep up with his production of legions. I'll try it again later today and try to nab the military CS to see if it makes a difference...

    Religious Idols or Desert Folklore?

Are you on steam? You can use Shift+Print Screen to save one that way. Edit: Woops, its actually Shift+P if you have the steam overlay enabled. It will go to your Steam screenshots folder.

Deity Thing is, they didn't forward settle on me, they actually settled towards Hiawatha. I also scouted south first and used my warrior to kill a camp before I went north and found Rome.

    Religious Idols or Desert Folklore?

I like Cathedrals because they give you somewhere to put your art between Guilds and Archeology. An AI usually beats you to the Ufizzi and sometimes the Sistine on higher difficulties. So unless you skip the Artists Guild you will probably have a few Great Artists hanging around until you can...

Any game is winnable they said...

Ya, I would have made a few more of those if I expected him to attack me that early. I know Rome has a tendency to conquer, but he didn't actually covet my lands until a few turns before the DoW.

Rome conquers me on turn 55. I did take a bit too long to start getting out my first Settler, but I was having barb troubles, so I built infrastructure instead. I don't know if there was anything I could do in this game to defend myself from that many swords.

    Need tips for indonesia

I just finished an Immortal game with Indonesia on continents. Their UA is very useful, and not as situational as most people think. Unless you are playing an all land map, you should have no trouble finding 3 islands to settle on, assuming you don't wait too long. They don't even need to be...

    Who's Making Honor Work?

I think the biggest problem with Honor is that it doesn't give you much in the way of free stuff or flat bonuses. Early on, getting small % increases to building units and combat strength is nothing compared to getting free buildings, workers, settlers, and flat benefits to production, growth...
