I'd love to have luxury resources back, simply because they bring in a new layer of interactivity with the map. Right now, cities are almost self-sustaining, you can build one anywhere and with the right buildings it can give positive health and prosper. The only resources you care about are the...
Me too.
I did a bit of testing and I think it's because the AI, after a certain level of dislike towards you, refuses to give you anything, even if you are offering absurdly good deals.
For example, Rejinaldo asks for Energy in exchange for a Favour. I accept and he says the offer is not good...
As the title says. I've picked the upgrade that should damage enemy units near the target of a LEV Destroyer ranged attack, but it never does. The damage occurs regularly on the target, but any nearby unit is unaffected.
So basically, that upgrade does nothing for me.
Indeed, the fact that the patch isn't out yet can mean one of two things:
- It's going to be huge and add a ton of features and fixes that will improve the game significantly.
- The state of the game is so bad and so unfinished that they literally don't know where to begin. The game is actually...
I see a glaring omission: Aliens rework. Or at least a re-balance, right now they are wasted potential.
Otherwise, it looks good. Let's hope that they took their time to make this patch really count.

ARC and Polystralia usually are the first to declare war in almost all the games I've played.
Both Brazilia and the Slavic Federation often ask me to go to war together against another AI, but they don't really follow up.
ARC is probably the worst though.
I disagree, being "cast into a playstyle" gave the various civs more of a personality and helped create some metagame in multiplayer. Beside, even with a more focused role all civs in Civ5 were able to pursue all victory condition. They simply had a direct or indirect bonus in regards to some of...
I'm starting to realize how I miss them.
In Civ5, they helped break the monotony of the game with a one-off huge bonus or they helped you specialize your cities with a smaller but constant bonus. They also provided some sense of accomplishment when you finally managed to get one in a reasonable...
A single bonus is not enough to keep me interested, beside, except for ARC and maybe PAC, none of the bonuses promote a specific kind of long term strategy. They are just different kinds of buffs, but they feel really generic and so I don' think I can actually say that I have a favourite...
