Where can I get the latest DirectX and change the graphics settings before entering the game? That's what it asks for...

I was able to play Civ IV beforehand, so I don't think that the DirectX is the problem. Even so, where can I get it?

I get this window when opening up CivIV. It appears after the 'loading XML' window finishes loading. I have no idea what could have triggered this to occur. What is the problem?

You did. I DLed the patch, installed it, and it works. Civ IV lags like hell, though.

Ok, once I open Civ IV, everything works fine-ish... When the intro movies are meant to play, I see a blue screen; but that is not my main concern... Once I click, this disappears, and I come up with the title screen, I see the world spinning, and 'Civilization IV' written on the top...
