I like the idea of a vassal state (like Civ IV diplomacy mod) where it appoints a random leader that gives you a share of resources. Then again, a minor civ such as a city state would be good, as long as when it declares independence, it becomes a computer-controlled major civ.

It regenerates what it lost and more! I had almost captured Vienna then the Greeks bombed it and I couldn't capture it by the time I had won the game.

Aye, it is a big problem. Maybe to overcome that, Egypt should be British controlled and Algeria/Tunisia/Morocco should be French. Also, a good Europe map, near the very end of this project should start in 1912 - Greece and friendly city states vs Ottomans. Then WW1 ends and then 1919 Ottomans...
