I don't think it's possible to change the download link of an existing mod if you're not the original poster. What you can do, though, is create a new thread with your updated version of the mod.

Sorry for asking/pushing the issue but is there a config or game file I can edit? This mod as a whole has made me appreciate Civ 4 so much more and this one particular mechanic is as of now my biggest and only significant gripe

Yeah I ended up just using the worldbuilder to separate my borders by coast so they cant walk units into my land anymore.

Guess a maginot line of doggos will have to suffice lol
