    I've been thinking… will we sail round the world 'meeting' people from countries such as Ingerland (Abaddon, Winston Hughes, Paradigm Shifter, etc.), Ireland (robbiecon, johnhughthom, really, RRW), Perkelia (Mathilda, aaglo), 'Murica (half the forums) and so on?
    Or do we sail through the forums?

    Good news! IO've got a copy of the Vinland Sagas Penguin edition! So now we have an even better source of tales of exploration. How's the tendinitis these days?

    btw with civplayah's money we could do all sorts of wicked things like getting an engine for the drakkar so we don't have to row.

    if you're really interested we should take this to somewhere where we have more space to write than VMs and plan out some storyline. Snerkur, Takhi (I've heard Aki is a Danish name ;)) and Snerkur's Cat sailing in a longship. Maybe, as it's the CivFanátikúr Saga, we should take on a journey across CivFanatikLund? In-forum jokes are always ripe. Otherwise, on to the conquest of Denmark!

    The CivFanátikúr Saga sounds nice, but… Snerkur Takhison? I thought Snerkur and I'd be the protagonists (unless this was by a descendant of them).

    I've been thinking seriously about this. We really could do with a longship exploration thread. Updates and the like… you interested? We could call it 'the CFCyinga saga' or, well, if you could Icelandicize it… ;)

    Laxdæla, Egil's and Burnt Njal's (all finished). Need to get my hands on Eyrbyggja saga, and to recover the book with Hrafnkel's saga, Audun's Story and a few others. Already have both Vinland sagas under my belt too. :) Hope I'll complete the collection one day.

    According to these sagas I am reading, Icelandic society was founded mostly by Norwegian settlers (plus some Gaels brought from the British Archipelago) so I say… why not take witness at the Althing and claim iceland as a Norse-Gael possession?
