    Civ3 don't launch without internet

OK, I have found the solution. Win7 is trying to send information everytime I run Civ3 (an other games), using GameUx.dll. If there is no internet connection it does't permit the game to launch!!! This is something that is happening with alot of old games. See link below...

    Civ3 don't launch without internet

Thanks for the reply! Yes, I'm launching Civ3Conquests.exe, inside the Conquest folder. I also tried the shortcut which executes Civ3Launcher.exe, but nothing happens without internet. I think the problem is Win7 related.

    Civ3 don't launch without internet

I'm running Civ3 complete (GoG) from 2 different computers, and in both cases the program don't launch if internet connection is not enabled. Win7 64bits. GoG version is DRM free, so I don't know what is happening. I'm running the Conquest.exe directly, no Galaxy. When internet is enabled I'm...

FYI: Civ6 contains Red Shell Analytics Software

Why so many complains about RedShell ? After paying so much money Firaxis has the graciousness to install full spyware for free. I mean, is not like they are making anything bad, OK? And it's FREE!!!!! Please do not troll. leif

FYI: Civ6 contains Red Shell Analytics Software

How is possible that spyware has not been removed yet. And where are the apologies from Firaxis Take-Two? I don't understand what's wrong with this company.

    Technical commentary on Civ/game AI

Civ III was a fantastic game, and continues to be a good game. The graphics are dated, but the gameplay is OK, and the AI is good. I liked the good old times when an Empire was something more than 5 cities, and when you where afraid of your neighbours armies. And the amount of mods and scenarios...

    Technical commentary on Civ/game AI

The AI just ruins all the immersion in this game. It's obvious that Firasix doesn't care to make good quality games anymore, only cash-milking games. CivBE and CIV VI shows how low the bar can fall in Firaxis, so don't spect anything better from them in the future. This is a new CIV era, the era...

    Is AI still brain dead?

Very disappointed with the game. I can forgive the cartoonished art, but the horrible AI is really anoying. No intention to buy the expansion or any other Firaxis game in the future. Not at release at least.

    How to mod unhappines?

Hi all. I'm trying to reduce the unhappines due to population and city number in the standard unmodded game, and I have changed some values in the GlobalDefines.xml archive inside Assets\Gameplay\XML. My intention is to reduce the amount of unhappines to 25% of the initial values, so I have...

    Civ VI reviews on Steam

No, "weirdos" area only "weirdos". About steam reviews. 50% of them are negative for a good reason. They only want our money, not our opinion. Ok, we have all the right to make this costly for them, because It is our only way to press Firaxis to make the necessary changes to this an future...

    Civ VI reviews on Steam

Someone is mature when he realizes how the world really works. I'm sure you have't understand how Firaxis works yet. Addressing other posters in this manner is trolling. If you can't post in a civil manner, please refrain from posting.

Civ 2 multiplayer waiting for game host

I have no idea. What I can tell you is that I ended dissabling the antivirus firewall completely for the duration of the game, and no problem. We play in LAN mode.

Civ 2 multiplayer waiting for game host

I had a similar problem some months ago. If one of them is not receiving the signal, you have some problem with firewalls. Be sure to disable all firewalls in both computers. Not only antivirus firewall, also windows firewall.

Civ 2 multiplayer waiting for game host

Have you checked the connection using the "ping" comand in the cmd program? Use ipconfig command to see the IP direction of both computers.
