I just tried peaceful CV Eleanor last night and the one undiscovered civ that was on the other side of the map was Kongo. Holy balls. He won culture before I even had radio researched. I thought I was gonna roll once I started flipping Amanitore and China cities.

The was near the beginning of the game happened up near Walata and at the time Trajan owned both Mohejo-Daro and Antanananananarivo. It's hard to see from the screenshot, but there is a small mountain range (like 3 or 4 tiles) to the north east of Walata and there is that lake to the west...
