Thats not a giant technical leap. Its not hard to do at all technically. To code a 1UPT game is basically easier then allowing stacks. Its harder to do the ai for such a system though. But in civ 5 they didnt do a AI for that obviously... The AI cannot play for S.H.I.T.
Hexes are more tricky...
but one city challenge doesnt make the game harder, only longer basically. I just keep my one town, wait more for rebel sentiment to go up and eventually i have enough soldiers to beat the king.
Competition still doesnt do anything to threaten me... I want to buff AI economy etc so they have...

Viceroy is too easy, is there any way to mod the files to make the game much harder? Preferably by giving other AI player+ indians bonuses. Just adding more TORY forces is boring, it just makes the game longer (keep building troops until you have an redicoulous amount)

Landfall is a project i returned to after working on some other stuff. Its a freewere remake of the classic Colonization. And yes, I got Portugal in there:) Its much more streamlined and has some new features.

i like the classic colonization but its way to easy now. Has anyone modded the file so its much harder but still make sence?
I mean not just made the expeditionary force 100 times bigger, thats just makes the game LONGER not harder. You get the picture.

well what i have rather made is making modern units more specialized, i was bored in how you only ever used battleships and modern armour for everything (even defense). There was really no need to build something else.
It works fine for me. You still kick as if you have better tech.

why do so many mods change the terrain to something that just doesnt work? There's a lot of work gone into this project, but the terrain look really bad. Could i use the original terrain?
Has redone many units to balance things out, help units and goverments that you never choose (did ANYONE use feudalism in vanilla for example?) There was rarely any reason to build anything but the best tank, now its at least recommended to bring some defensive troops as well. Also, i removed...

Almost all suggestions and bugs are fixed. Also hostile and hateful indian towns will send attacks and steal resources now. Paying for units/buildings/upgrades are on a per-turn basis which makes much more sence.

ya those maps are useable, but i mainly made them for fun, you haveto change the ingame code to load them instead of america. But really at this point they are worthless as game-content. I will have plenty of maps when this is finally released:) Making them isnt very hard, its balance thats...
