Can't end turn without being forced to pick social policy?

With the "Allow saving policies" option, I don't think so.

Can't end turn without being forced to pick social policy?

The option is slightly broken too: I finished The Oracle on the same turn my culture count went over the limit for a new policy, and I was forced to pick two policies instead of one.

Getting all 24 civs into a single game.

As for the memory, the game is still stuck in the 32-bit era, and the maximum memory it can use is a bit over 3 gigs.

Civ 5 crash when "jumping" between locations on large map

Core 2 Duo E6850 4GB Geforce 8800GTS (640MB) 64Bit Vista Well above minimum specs, other than the video card above recommended specs, but that should mean slow, not crash. Edit: Did some additional testing, with DirectX10 version I get the freezing (even with SM4.1 and SM5.0 forced off as 8800...

Civ 5 crash when "jumping" between locations on large map

It's been around since day 1, and is still just as reproducible as before: Huge map, zoom out, scroll around the map a couple of times -> freeze.

The new patch seems to have arrived

It was possible to choose "Raze" when capturing a city, which lead(s?) to no unhappiness from the city, then go to the city screen and stop the razing, but the unhappiness didn't get recalculated before save/reload, so you essentially got an unhappiness-free normal city until next session.

The new patch seems to have arrived

Yes, they are separate, but if we still had a global slider, there would be a more _streamlined_ alternative to assigning specialists if you don't want to micro it to the last beaker. The current system we have really doesn't fit the design goal of streamlining, isn't remotely realistic, and...

The new patch seems to have arrived

Correct, except that CiV isn't the earlier civ games, and "Prince" level is supposedly the even playing ground where the AI doesn't cheat. I don't really care what it is called, it would just be nice to have one level where neither the human nor AI has any crutches. So yeah, it wasn't exactly...

Even ground with no advantages, my backside.

The new patch seems to have arrived

On the way? No, you don't gift them by moving them to the city state, there's an option in the city state diplomacy menu, right below gifting gold. Instant (well, you get rid of the unit right away, 3 turns before the city state gets it), works anywhere. Overflow SHOULD be handled ok, if...

The new patch seems to have arrived

Why bother with a 10%, 25%, or even 40% conversion rate when you can gift scouts to city states for 2 influence each (50%+ conversion rate) ?

    Civ V Patch 1.0.0.62

Could it be that they introduced save compatibility between deluxe and normal, and in the process broke compatibility between old and new deluxe?

    Bait & Switch

No. Making a purchase without sufficient information about the product is not bait and switch. If you pre-purchased (like I did) and don't think you got your money's worth, you only have yourself to blame. Likewise, if the demo was already available and you didn't try it out first.

    The Number Crunching Thread

Ah yes, just noticed that it's (n*k)^(k') , not (n)*(k^k') as I first read.

    The Number Crunching Thread

Alpaca, are you sure the unit maintenance tables correspond to the current formula listed? Shouldn't the total cost go up linearly with the amount of units, with just a +-1 for rounding as the number of units is only included as a final multiplier? Instead, looking at, say, the turn 300 column...
