    TAM for CIV5

i like the idea of cities being easier to conquer, BUT perhaps that is earned by refining your military. either by gold, or by ancient ruin bonuses, advancing your units in levels, and more importantly, making a general worth something. i mention above that a leveled general could make basic...

    TAM for CIV5

ok, one of the main things i didn't like about TAM c4 was that conquering the entire med was a real B because of the inherent way civ4 worked. the more you conquered, the more your economy waned and all of those cities had to start over basically from scratch AND managing all of those cities...

The Ancient Mediterranean Mod - Discussion

hello! please help. ok, i've followed this thread very closely and managed to download the "Text" directory and that fixed the errors is was experiencing. however, when playing as Rome, the cities do not give the proper naming sequence but instead display what looks like an all-caps error...

    New Leader: Adolf Hitler

well, i'm not claiming that i know it all, nor do i believe you should trust everything you see on tv, but suffice to say that my main point is that bush can't be compared to hitler, on any level. i have friends from the middle east as well, and they are very good, very beloved friends. i'd...

    New Leader: Adolf Hitler

i could compose a list of leaders who "had the nerve to use their armies against other nations" going back 5,000 years. but i'm not going to enter into a debate with you about that... but, i will say that your entire post here is completely odd, bizarre and curious to say the least... and i...

    New Leader: Adolf Hitler

obviously, you're not a bush fan. i wondered if you could elaborate on your claim that bush, either by personal choice or as commander-in-cheif, "used this (technological) edge against civilians (under any pretext) like no one since Hitler".... and i'm not sure what you mean by "Bush would do...

    Calling all Warmongers

i don't reload in the beginning often. if i do it's because i don't get copper close by or iron or some debilitating thing like that.... ok, the whole idea to taking out a neighbor verrrry early is to prevent your neighbors from becoming angry with you. you should take their city before they...

    Oracle slingshot to...

hmmm.... for me, i have a similar approach... i get stonehenge and the oracle asap... they help the GP growth of a prophet who can build a religious wonder if you establish buddhism or hinduism... after establishing the religion it's all military from then on... so i take iron working with the...

    Calling all Warmongers

you can go that route too! if you miss the first few, grab another, just hope it spreads as well as the first 2 usually do without spending hammers on missionaries...

    Calling all Warmongers

yes, it is risky.... it's all contingient on first establishing the religion then getting it going. i've missed both opening religions and got one going later... it's all in theory and just my method of approach... not completely failsafe i'm afraid... but i used to play without religion at all...

    Calling all Warmongers

not sure if you're on a higher level, but i usually encounter 2 warriors stationed in the city. out of my 4, 3 die weakening 1 and killing the other and i can usually get the last one on the next turn with an experience boost. i should have said tho, it is NOT failproof, sorry. occasionally i...

    How can I change?

oh no! truly i do appreciate the critique! sorry it took so long for me to catch up to your notes, let's see: ok, it's true you can survive without wonders, but maybe i read the thread wrong, i thought the gist was that they wanted to get away from building each and every wonder. i used to like...
