I'm with enkiduMT. Post-patch, I've been happy with the performance on a 1.8 G5 iMac. Yes, the frames per second could be faster, but I was well-aware going in that I was at the min specs to run the game. It is definitely playable--and fun!

I pre-ordered from Amazon a couple of weeks ago. I must not rate very high over there--I haven't heard a thing. I mean, I didn't sign up for Amazon Prime because I wanted help developing patience! I guess for now I am stuck with wishin' and hopin' and thinkin' and prayin'. :religion:

I know that RealBasic has Visual Basic importing/converting capabilities, from which you could compile the project for Windoze, Mac, AND Linux. But I haven't played with it very much, so I couldn't tell you how well it works.

I have now finished my GOTM, thanks to some "help" from the stacks of AI modern armor spilling into my borders...but that's another story. I submitted my game, and the receipt I got back has my entry class at "open", but the downloaded zip file on my desktop is clearly titled...

Me too...me too...me too.... GOTM 32 was my first outing also...let's just say I hope my sophomore effort goes a little better. But this whole site (and community) has breathed new life into Civ3 (for me) and made it even more fun than before. Thanks everybody!
