Played the Illians last night. Completing the Ascension Ritual crashes the game. Loaded my save, tried again... crashed. Just me?

Playing as Kuriotates (for about 20 minutes -- then I got irritated and restarted as another civilization), I found I was unable to choose between building a city or a settlement. As this occurred with my first settler, I believe it is due to patch f's "buildings" issue.

My Hero! I would not likely have noticed this as I can only mess around once every few weeks.

I am unable to get patch "L" to work properly. My friend and I were playing multiplayer (hotseat) a couple of days ago, and decided to upgrade to patch "L". Unfortunately, after installation, every time we set up our game parameters and attempted to play, the game CTDed during the loading...
