If they've got a spy or diplomat in your city, it's entirely possible the AI is aware of how many turns you have left to complete it and adjusts its own production accordingly.

That's an interesting point. Now I wonder if they count towards . . . isn't there a new social policy or world resolution that gives you a bonus for each National Wonder?

Are the various guild wonders like World Wonders or National Wonders? In other words, does every civ get to build each guild, or only one? Can't seem to find an answer in the in-game description. Thanks! Edit: Nevermind. Just found it in the manual. (They're National Wonders, in case anyone...

Not that I'm necessarily supporting the idea, but this could be balanced by extending the intercept range of fighters and anti-aircraft guns. If anything is changed, an extended intercept range, even if as a promotion, is what I'd like to see the most.

I do get that urge after a domination victory. It usually goes away after a couple turns though.

Not entirely free, since you're still paying maintenance on the roads in your territory and any you made in "no man's land", not to mention the upkeep cost of the worker(s) used to build the road. That being said, the influence gained per gold spent is probably better than straight up gifting...

For starters, triplanes only have a 50% intercept chance. And I believe the radius for most intercepts (fighters, AA, etc.) is only one hex. I could be wrong here, but it sounds like your troops are just out of the protective range of your triplanes. I think the operational range is just for...

This, very much this. I've longed for a more complex diplomacy scene since the days of Civ IV, and this sounds like a very solid step in the right direction. It's the only thing I was terribly disappointed to see wasn't in the original version of the game. I'm extremely excited for this!
