Perfect thanks everyone!
I ended up scrapping a great game with mods after I found mods disable achievements ... and thats part of the fun for me picking factions based on achievements I need etc.
Too bad I really liked Info Addict and City Limits. I'm sure I would have loved fast plane...
So I've just started using some mods that change the game like a Diplomacy Mod where you have to build Envoys and Ambassadors etc... as well as infomaniac nothing major.
I'm just wondering though .. the City States don't seem to have their unique luxury resource like when I play with no...
Yeah at first I used to upgrade my planes to take on cities.
Now I upgrade my bombers to take out Land Units, and my fighters to be awesome at intercepting. And then use those planes launched from Carriers on the coasts to take out Enemy Artillery with little to no loss.
Once you have a couple...
I played a game the other day and the AI built a TON of carriers but no subs... needless to say the Naval battle wasn't much of a battle as I lined my coasts with Subs to hold off any invasion (Which did come) while I built Carriers battleships and eventually my favorite Missile Cruisers.
Naval...
I wouldn't worry about the first couple of Science era's if your opponents beat you, they sometimes rush to get Iron Working or Navigation etc depending on the map.
Make sure to build your science buildings, (Library, University etc)
Also there are some science focused Civs that you could use...
When I'm short Aluminum late gate, and a City state is sitting on 2 piles totaling 10... and its surrounded by my empire, but I can't keep it loyal because people constantly have spies there, and spend money.
That bad boyis being conquered :P
Honestly since G&K (i.e. Religion) I don't find...
At the end of the day I would love to see this implemented by the Civ team, where each Civ had 3-4 UU and 3/4 UA's, and then you get to choose them. Some generic options may be okay (+%age money / research / production during X Era etc.) But no civ should be able to build other civ's buildings...
Just seeing alot of gaming video's on this tablet but I haven't seen any games I would play (Civ5, Xcom, and other TBS)
Just wondering if anyone has one and tried it out?
Early attacking is pretty easy its mid attacking I'm not 100% fond of.
I can see camel archers are the same tech level... but 5 more range damage kinda nice. THough I have to admit I REALLY like the fact that Keshik's earn XP 50% faster they get so discusting with March, and extra attack or...
Don't disagree, you could say that you are using misdirection to confuse the enemy.
Or I could say its gamey. Both are valid opinions based on perception :)
Distracting your enemy with a force then sneaking another force to hit his back door isn't cheesy I used do that in Age of Empires all the time.
Moving in mass melee units in hopes the AI chooses them over the real threat to me isn't the same. Its like selling Luxury resources to the computer...
Since I really love Naval combat ... (I love storming beaches in the game with Battleships, Carriers, and Amphibous assaults landing on foreign soil...)
England is probably my favorite Civ overall. But I've had fun with ALL of them, I tend to like Civ's that have units / abilities that are used...
I'm going to say on a large land mass game Mongols are crazy powerful, Keshik's have the ability to fire then move afterwards so they can tear apart a city without ever getting hit, and then you just march in your a couple of melee units to get take over the city.
If you have alot of water, I'm...
Sums up how I feel too... it feels way too gamey to trick the AI into killing units that don't pose a major threat.
Just like the AI has a hard time taking my cities out because I target his melee units first, all the Seige weapons + archers in the world can't take over a city without 1 melee...
