Just an update. We are still in travel for at least another week. I've been trying to keep up with the thread on my phone in between.

An extra worker early on is well worth a couple turns to build another warrior or a diplo hit. We will be warring with all of them eventually. I vote to attempt a steal on the worker and then escort him back.

Everything in RL is moving really fast. we have less than 2 weeks to move our whole family from Germany to Colorado and start a new job so I will pop in as much as possible. Damn, I am so sick of RL getting in the way. I just want to play Civ!!

I dont have a problem if the Gwall follows the second city but I think it needs to be a priority and for sure before a third.

My vote is for getting the GW all sooner than later. Just dealing with pillaging will more than make up for the cost long term

Sorry guys. I am weighing job offers for an international move back to the US with a family of 6. Some days I have lots of time and some weeks I have none.

Either way, with needing all those wonders we will have to go fairly deep into the tech tree. We can at least prioritize those that are on the way to space.

I like the idea for the GW. Get a second city then chop wall. Dealing with barbs long term will be a real hinderance. Most teams will likely go this same route. As far VC goes, I'm sure some team will find a way to win this with a conquest victory. These are all good players but I still think...

You can refuse to choice a tech to research until T5 without losing any beakers

Well so far I have not been able to improve on the T43 founding of the second city. I'll keep trying but I think that the current builds are a good choice and that date does seem to be what I hit on all test in spite of varying the build and research orders.

First one went well and one of the previous has netted an offer!!!

I have DL the test game. I will try to make a few runs to see WB vs worker but I have 3 job interviews in the next 2 days to prep for so it may be sat or sun before I have anything significant
