Try modding the game in a way that education provides either gold or entertainment, or reduce corruption to reflect the continuing education of your workforce so you don't need to scrub these sorts of things from your cities.

I heard a few units got wiped out in from anything that was pre-2007. Maybe I just couldn't find it, but I searched the database to no avail. If it's missing, and if you still have the file, could you (anyone) re-upload it to the database? Thanks.
