Blizzard produces RTS Games with the largest Online player community.
Sadly, they're too immersed with their WoW MMORPG. I doubt we will ever see another RTS within the next 5 years or so.
Pardon me, if I'm wrong...
But isn't Rise Of Nations turn-based?
Although i must admit that the Civs aren't balanced in Rise of Nations...
Try Americans -> You get a Civ that has its power growing Arithmetic Progressively per turn.
EDIT: Okay, I'm wrong... Rise of Nations is indeed an RTS.

Blue Circle Settler Algorithm, how does it work?
Does the Blue Circle mean that settling a city on the tile will yield the most food output OR does it mean that settling in that location will allow you to be connected to the most resources?
My posts deals with Multiplayer settings unless otherwise stated. Meaning that my interest is not in acquiring strategies dealing with Computer AI players. I'm afraid to say that your experiences in Monarch/Emperor Games are meaningless to me.

Game Speed: Blazing Quick -> 50% reduction in Build time as compared to "Quick". Meaning Warriors cost 6 Hammers instead of 12.
Turn Timer: Lightning Blaze -> 10 sec per turn
Rant: Automated "Leaving Old Improvements Option" Doesn't replace Roads with Railroads
Firaxis needs to rewrite the worker automation script or at least allow the user to customise the script.

Much to my own Folly(for that game), I researched Metal Casting -> Machinery, rather than Mathematics -> Construction
Because
