    alienware

Alienware makes great machines, but they are very overpriced. They are great gaming machines, but you could build a machine just as powerful for half the cost. Their support is good, so it is nice for people who have money to burn and little experiences building computers.

    golden age vs super citizen

Both have there uses, but I tend to use super citizens a little more often. If Im lagging a little behind or have a hanful of very young cities, a golden age can give you a huge boost and give you a lead. If I have a couple of young cities or have a decent lead, I go with the super citizen.

    Pyramids overpowered

I think the Pyramids are just about right, powerful but not overpowering. They can really help give a boost, but having them doesnt ensure victory or victory for your neighbors if they build them. They take a lot of resources and time to build, so they need to be worth building. In the right...

How come I cannot demand red techs or resources?

Just think there should be a few techs they couldnt ask for, that way you dont have to worry about losing relation points with friends. Sometimes I dont want to hand over an important tech to a lukewarm friend, but sucks losing factions because they made an unreasonable demand.

How come I cannot demand red techs or resources?

Definitely a shortcoming of the Diplomacy system. A player should have red techs on their list as well, that the AI can not ask for. That way they dont bother asking and you dont lose relations points for standing up to unreasonable demands. You cant really punish the AIs level of faction, so...

    Should i get Civ IV

Civilization is turn-based and requires a lot more planning/micromanagement of resources so it maybe a little slow if you like constant actions. There is a demo floating around somewhere. It is definitely a good game, but very different from most rts games.

    No-DVD Crack

They will replace the disc, if you send it to them in the orginal package and pay for return shipping. Many times, the discs Ive sent back were scratched due to my own fault and they replaced them each time. Your out for shipping and have to wait, but that is better than buying it again.

Poll-- Does the patch work for you?

Improved performance here to, especially in the late game, using huge maps and a lot of civs. The video does stutter a tad but the sound works. The game engine seems to handle system resources a lot better now than prepatch, but it could still use a couple of tweaks. Good to see they know what...

All Civs are equal! BUT, are some either more, or less equal?

It varies game to game and if they get lucky with a nice supply of resources. Some games a leader will be a beast and the next game, they will fall first. If Tokugawa gets a nice supply of iron, copper and/or horses, he will be tough; but when he gets a lot of luxury resources, he seems to fall...

    Parthenon worse than you'd think.

It is random and streaky, sometimes I go through a game were I see almost all engineers, all merchants etc. Even when I build the Parthenon and build up artist specialist in several cities, I dont get enough artists. Then when I need scientist they disappear. Thankfully all are useful, but...

    12 Minute Victory

Duel maps are a tad to small. It was good idea, but poorly implemented with civs to close together. You can march your first warrior over to your rival civ and kill them before anything is produced

    Help an overwhelmed Civ newbie!!!

Tech choices varies from one person to the next depending on the goals and play styles. I found it easier when I first started playing with Civ1 to focus on one type of play, rather than naturally wanting them all  Hover over the choice or looking at the big picture can help, think about...

    Anyone Else?

I think with all the expansion and mods, I like Civ3 more; but comparing vanilla Civ3 to Civ4, I give the nod to Civ4. A few more patchs to tweak the systems a little more(reworking some of the late ages tech cost was a good start) along with some quality mods and I will only play Civ4. Civ4 has...

The verdict on the new patch

It is quicker for me overall, late ages included. The resource manager in the game seems more reasonable and working like it should.
