Soldiers of the Heavenly Kingdom of Great Peace also known as the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom (1851-1864) of southern China. Founded by Hong Xiuquan, the younger brother of Jesus Christ, they sought to overthrow the Qing Dynasty and create a new Christian Chinese empire, resulting in one of the deadliest wars of all time, the Taiping Rebellion.
