Furion's Loading Screen Adjustments Update 1.3.3

  1. Made the unique descriptions on lower resolutions stay within the column space instead of stretching all the way to fill the width.
  2. Fixed the issue that quarter and building icons were cropped.

Hey guys, I just decided to get rid of the picture frame element around the unique icons which I feel is something very much against modern UI design. Please let me know if you think otherwise. Cheers.

Did some extra tweaks to 1440 height with "High Res Auto UI Scale" feature enabled.
Under this configurations now, the loading screen will show only 2 headers and group the unique items accordingly. Unique items are displayed in 2 columns which gives the "Begin Game" button some space.
As I tested other resolutions will just ignore this "High Res Auto UI Scale" feature so there is no need to create separate loading screen layout.

Again, thank you all for your support and feedback! Hope my creation made your gaming experience more enjoyable.

Hey guys.
Thanks for all your feedbacks that allow me to work on (almost) every single detail of this MOD. I hope now it is bug free and covers most of your needs.

Update 1.3: Resolutions support!
  1. 1440 height with XS or S UI scale, no auto UI scale feature. Very similar to the previous versions. Only update is widened the information canvas from 60rem to 70rem and added leader and civ icons on the side of descriptions.

  2. 1440 height with M or L UI scale, no auto UI scale feature. Combined leader and civ traits descriptions and show them in 2 columns; unique units show in 2 columns; and unique infrastructures show in 3 columns.

  3. 1200 height with XS or S UI scale. Still keeps leader and civ trait descriptions separated but 2 columns for units and 3 columns for infrastructures.

  4. 1440 height with XL UI scale, 1200 height with M or L UI scale, and 900 height with XS or S UI scale. Further combined units with infrastructures and shows Civ6 style generic unique descriptions instead of full contents.

  5. 1200 height with XL UI scale, 900 height with M and larger UI scale, and 1440 height with auto UI scale feature. Combined all traits and unique items into one group with only names. Hourglass and Begin Game button start to go to the right.

  6. All the lower resolutions. Just bare minimum icons.

Update 1.2.1:
  1. Made "Unique" headers center aligned. Added a decorative divider below the headers.
  2. Renamed XML variables to add a prefix of my name. Hopefully this can avoid data conflict in the future.

Hi Guys!
I believe I solved the content validation error but please let me know if it still happens on your end.

Update 1.2:
  1. Fine-toned fonts assigned to the text boxes with a more consistent logic: All generic descriptions are in font-body style; all captions (leader name and civ name in front of descriptions, and unique headers) are in font-title style and tinted gold; unique unit and infrastructure names are in font-title-base style; and finally unique ability, unit and infrastructure descriptions are in font-body-sm style. Hopefully by doing this the layout looks very tidy.
  2. Added a feature that if the UI scale is set to small or extra small, and High Resolution UI Scaling (HRUS) option is turned off, leader and civ trait descriptions display on top of unique unit rows. If UI scale is larger than small or HRUS is enabled, only unique unit and infrastructure rows display just the same as previous version.
  3. Adjusted some spacing. You probably may not notice at all...

Apologies everyone, I made a silly mistake in the localized text file. Now fixed and the MOD should be functional.

Overhauled the source of data from Firaxis original script. Now pulling data from config instead of in game data so that the loading screen can show exactly what game setup view is showing. Therefore, no more tiered unique units issue.

I also wrote leader and civ trait descriptions but couldn't figure out a good place to put them without bleeding outside of screen/canvas. So they are hidden for now and the code are commented.
