The Merkava is a series of main battle tanks (MBT) used by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the backbone of the IDF's Armored Corps.
Merkava Mk.1 - The engine was a 900 hp (670 kW) diesel, locally built by Urdan Industries, which gave, at first, a power-to-weight ratio of 14 bhp/ton. Its main armament comprised an M68 105 mm (4.13 in) gun, a derivative of the British L7 Ordnance AT gun. Secondary armament comprised two 7.62 mm (0.3 in) machine-guns of US design and a third heavy .50 caliber could be mounted on top of the commander cupola, both for added firepower in urban combat and AA defense. An external 60 mm (2.36 in) mortar could be fired by an operator partly from inside the hull. The Merkava Mark I was produced to an extent of 250 machines when deliveries stopped in 1981.
The file contains all the sounds and pcx files. Model is not my own creation. Wyrmshadow provided the animation files and Ares de Borg did the sounds. I merely put the pieces together and cleaned up the model for CivIII and added some what if pieces. A big thanks to everyone that helped out!
