Thank you to Gedemon for your map pack (YnAMP), it gave me everything I needed to start on this map script.
This map option creates continents in a slightly new manner. As opposed to continents being built from top to bottom, the continents now generate with gaps at the bottoms filled with islands. Rivers are also longer and slightly more abundant. Resource distribution, tile type generation, and starting biases are unchanged.
There are a lot of issues with how Civ 7 handles land generation by default in their modules, so I am considering buckling down and making a set of tools for map scripters to make. If that doesn't happen, however, feel free to ask me questions - I don't know a lot, but that doesn't mean I should keep it to myself.
That said, enjoy. Might update over the next while, we shall see. Works best on the Large map setting (install YnAMP to access that easily).
