Orca's Weirder Continents

Orca's Weirder Continents 1.0.0

Thank you to Gedemon for your map pack (YnAMP), it gave me everything I needed to start on this map script.

This map option creates continents in a slightly new manner. As opposed to continents being built from top to bottom, the continents now generate with gaps at the bottom and top filled with islands. Rivers are also longer and slightly more abundant. Resource distribution, tile type generation, and starting biases are unchanged.

That said, enjoy. Might update over the next while, we shall see. Works best on the Large map setting (install YnAMP to access that easily).

Not extensively tested. Please play with the code!

Edit: I have looked into the starting sector placement code and think I've found the problem, however there is not really an easy solution (that I can see) just due to how Civ 7 generates starting locations. At this moment, I legitimately think the best course of action may be scrapping the existing infrastructure made by Firaxis and building it ground up. So don't expect any updates soon.

Would recommend including some screenshots of map generations in the description!
I liked how there were more islands that I could explore in Antiquity but the two main landmasses feel too small.

As another said, I too spawned right on top of the other 3 of 4 AI players on my continent. The 2nd continent was pretty much monopolized by the other 2 AI, so much so that there was no real way for me to expand to a "distant land".
I enjoy the longer rivers and map creation but playing on the preset map size, all four capitals in the original continent spawned within 20 tiles at the top. Is this intentional? Isabella and another leaders capital were separated by one tile

This is non-intentional. I am going to look into starting position placement for the next version, but currently, due to the smaller size of continents, civs spawning near each other is an issue.
Ran into an interesting bug: Playing Isabella Rome on Standard size Weird Continents, and I spawned on the wrong continent. My capital is surrounded by Sugar, Cocoa, and Tea. Improving them gives me a Bonus Resource that does nothing.

Will take a look at this. Larger continents work better as theres more room to allow for correct start bias. That said, I am going to look into the inner workings of the start bias for the next version.
I like the extra variety, this mod adds!
