Adds the Shinra Corporation from Final Fantasy 7 and associated works as a Civ. Gods and Kings is required as Rufus has a heavy taste for Espionage and gets a bonus spy.
UU: SOLDIER - Replaces the Musketman, and is a stronger, rapidly healing unit capable of long engagements far outside friendly territory. Though it graphically appears as a swordsman, it counts as a gunpowder unit (ignores city defense).
UB: Mako Reactor - Same bonuses as Factory, but slightly cheaper, 1 less gold to maintain, and provides +10% production toward gundpowder units.
Leader is of course Rufus Shinra, who has (The Turks and Mako Shells), providing an extra spy at the Renaissance Era, and +25% attack strength to Siege weapons when attacking cities. As an AI opponent, he's meant to be highly offensive and of course have a heavy emphasis on using his Turks to conduct espionage and steal secrets. I have not played a match against him yet, but if I did it right, his AI playstyle should reflect similar to America's insatiable greed for territory, coupled with an incredibly secretive, deceptive jerk. He, naturally, will shoot for a Domination victory. Trust him at your own risk.
This Civ is my first attempt at XML, and modding in general. Please keep in mind that I'm a total rookie at this, and am more-or-less self-taught. I did use Kael's modding guide extensively, as well as the civfantatics.net forums, and I borrowed The Man with the Eyebrow's Candy Kingdom Civ as a template to create Shinra. This is also the first to come in a long-line of Civs inspired by my favorite fantasy worlds. I will be creating them with the idea in mind of using them all together in one Civ world. None of them are designed to replace any other civs.
Icons created using various pictures from Advent Children, Final Fantasy 7 and Crisis Core, all of which is owned entirely by Square-Enix, not by me, and the Civilopedia entries are based off various wikis, and in-game information.
Feedback is welcome on potential balance issues. I have yet to have any UI problems/bugs, and the Leader traits are working properly (siege weapons spawn with "Mako Shells" promotion) but I'd be happy to address issues as they may arise.
