The Squall Class was a series of Russian, and later - Soviet monitors, who served in the Amur Flotilla. Monitor Type "Squall" was the world's first armoured river ships with diesel engines. One of the monitors of this type was destroyed during the Russian Revolution, and the rest were the most powerful ships in the Amur Region during this time.
The monitors were built in 1907, in St. Petersburg at the Baltic Shipyard as armoured river gunboats. The ships were transferred in sections to the Far East, where they were assembled and launched in the summer of 1909. The ships were a part of the Amur river flotilla. In the late 20s - 30's they were reclassified as monitors, and were renovated and modernized.
During World War II the ships (except for the monitor, "Kirov") participated in the fighting on the River Songhua. The Monitors "Sverdlov"and "Sun-Yat-Sen", won the title of the Guard.
The file contains all the sounds and pcx files. Model is not my own creation because Wyrmshadow provided it as well as the basic animation files and Ares de Borg did the sounds. I merely put the pieces together and modified the model to reflect its WWI configuration. A big thanks to everyone that helped out!
