World Map Equal Area with realistic proportions & climate zones

World Map Equal Area with realistic proportions & climate zones 2019-01-26

I never found civ world maps really realstic. Due to traditional map projects the land masses near the poles and almost always much too large. At the same time, in several maps, the oceans are just too small.
This map solves this. You will find Australia being much larger as Greenland and almost the same size as Europe (as it is in reality). Africa and South America appear as large as the really are with wast deserts and rainforests. You will find the North Polar sea as is really is and not as a very long narrow strip.

The climate zones are modeled as realistic as possible. Based on the natural biomes the terrain types were combined. Grasslands were mixed with forest in fertile regions to generate a natural game play.

Great job! Perhaps, at the moment this is the best (in terms of geographical accuracy) map of the world in civ2, which I saw. The only drawback: you should have made a larger indent on the northern and southern edges of the map, so that there were more squares of the sea. Especially since you have chosen not the most maximum size of the map (your map is approximately 10 thousand squares, now you can create about 37 thousand squares in the civ2 map by area). However, you did an excellent job.
