These changes aim to provide more strategic depth, encourage terrain-based tactics, and enhance the uniqueness of units across different eras.

Base Game Adjustments
- Cavalry Units:
- Introduced terrain-specific bonuses:
- Light Cavalry: +3 Combat Strength on Featureless Flat Terrain.
- Medium Cavalry: +5 Combat Strength on Featureless Flat Terrain.
- Heavy Cavalry: +7 Combat Strength on Featureless Flat Terrain.
- Fortification Mechanics:
- Cavalry units now need 3 additional turns to fortify.
- Penalties introduced for Cavalry against fortified districts:
- -3 Combat Strength when Fortified.
- -5 Combat Strength against Fortified Districts.
- Increase maintanance of all cavalary units by +1
- Increase production cost by about 10%
- Introduced terrain-specific bonuses:
Antiquity Era
- Chariot:
- Heavy Cavalary
- Decrease Base Combat Strength to 28
- Horseman:
- Light Cavalary
- Decrease Base Combat Strength to 32
- Spearman:
- Gains +5 Combat Strength against Mounted Units.
- Phalanx:
- Gains +5 Combat Strength against Mounted Units.
- Organized Military Unlocks New Ability:
- All Infantry units gain +5 Combat Strength when attacking spear-wielding infantry with less than 65% health
Exploration Era
- All Cavalry Units: -3 Combat Strength
- Courser -> Light Cav
- Knight (and unique cav units) -> Medium Cav
- Lancer -> Heavy Cav
- Authority Unlocks New Ability:
- Infantry units gain +5 Combat Strength when attacking spear-wielding infantry with less than 65% health
- Spearman:
- Gains +5 Combat Strength against Mounted Units.
- Imperialism Unlocks New Ability:
- +66% Flanking Attack Strength For Cavalry.
- Crossbow:
- Gains +5 Combat Strength against Mounted and Infantry Units.
Modern Era
- AT Gun:
- Gains +5 Combat Strength against Cavalry.
