this has officially ruined my night.
I try to patch, I get the error "-5006 : 0x80070003" telling me "please make sure you have finished any previous setup
and close any other applications".
I HAVE NOTHING ELSE OPEN AND I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT SETUP IT IS POSSIBLY TALKING ABOUT.
Grr.
I can't uninstall now either, it crashes the uninstall when I try to uninstall the game.
I also can't play now, because my girlfriend patched successfully and I didn't.
I tried the fix on the firaxis site telling me to clear my temp folder and kill an installshield file but that didn't work at all, so now I'm stuck, I can't patch, I can't play and I still have a freakin French tech tree so this is pretty much the worst possible scenario I think. If anyone has any helpful ideas, it'd go a long way towards keeping me sane tonight.
