100,000 Point Milk Run

Is it possible to achieve domination and arrange your empire for milking by that sort of date?

Gotta catch the meal before you can eat it.

(Although you accurately identify that as how 90k would be broken)

Great discussion about potential histographic limits. I just finally broke 25k myself. I feel like I'm watching a convention of mad scientists discussing their doomsday device while I've just invented the Smell O scope.

In all seriousness, I might just start up a milk run. My Xbox360 is down for repairs right now, and I could use something to kill the time.

I don't think I'm going to tackle Sid though. I have yet to even beat that level...well, within HOF rules anyway.

While we're discussing milkruns, I still have ongoing games at Warlord, Regent and Deity.
I'm tempted to tip the Domination Limit on the Deity one and submit it for the Gauntlet (maybe I should look for better start for another milkrun first).

hehe I hear you, currently aiming at 20k myself. On target at the moment.

Well, I think you've got a somewhat tougher route, not having conquests, Brennan. Diety on Vanilla/PTW is harder than demigod but scores the same, plus conquests seems geared towards beating it easier on any level. Things like the agricultural trait, armies, SGLs, and specialists are much better in conquests, IMO.

It always upset me my highest scoring HoF subission was a tiny conqest that took 5 minutes and didn't even chart rather than the one that was my histographic entry that I spent much longer on.

So i'll be looking forward to getting some kind of handicap bonus added to all my [ptw] entries then? :D

/talk about optimistic

Sure! :) Why, I'll give it you right now! :spank: There, do you feel better?:mwaha:

I've reinstalled C3C, but for the life of can't remember how to get Mapfinder to work. Guess I'm generating maps the old school way.

I've never got it to work. :pat: All my games are manually generated.

I was always able to get one of the older ones running, but never the latest release. It either jumps down too far on the main menu (past new/quick). Or, it generates the first map and tries to save it as the mapfindertmp.sav whatever, only the error asking about overwriting comes up and chokes everything up.

Anyone experience similar difficulties and know workarounds?

I never got mapfinder to work either until gmaharriet posted a short guideline here, you may want to check that out.

Usually when I've had problems with MapFinder, it's been because I had made a mistake with the map directories. Double-check the autosave and acceptable map save paths are correct. If that's not what the problem is, then I dunno. :dunno:

Don't know if I'll ever do another huge map milk run. If I do I am compelled to try Sid. Just cause.

I had the directory pointing to a Vanilla folder. Once I corrected that Mapfinder started generating maps.

It's not saving any of them yet, but I'm still tinkering with the rules thing...
